Sleeve bariatric surgery, also known as Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), is a restrictive procedure where 80% of the stomach is removed. While there is no specific gastric band pill, weight-loss medications such as Orlistat or appetite suppressants may be prescribed alongside a gastric band procedure to help enhance weight loss.
